Bandage

Pet Owners Advice:

The bandage:

+ The animal must not lick or bite the bandage. Use e.g. collar of the animal.

+ Protect the bandage from dirt and moisture in e.g. to keep cats indoors, or put on a shoe

   over the bandage.

+  Change the bandage if it gets wet or dirty.

+ Change your bandage as often as your veterinarian recommends at the visit.

Contact us about:

+ The animal is irritated by the bandage (growls, wants to lick or bite off the bandage, holds up the paw,

   stomps with the leg)

+ In case of abnormal swelling or odor from the bandage.

+ The animal becomes more lame or gets more hurt.

+ The animal gets a fever.

+ You have failed to change or put on a new bandage.

* Pet Owners Council *

Change the bandage daily until it has stopped flowing. Only then can the bandage last for 2, maybe 3 days. Place the sorbact compress at the far end, then a suction compress and at the far end the vetwap bandage. Put some cotton between the other toes so that there is no pressure damage there.

Take pictures of the wound during bandage changes. Send the pictures so I can follow the wound healing. Therapy control in 7 - 10 days depending on how it goes.
