Vaccination
Pet Owners Advice:
Vaccination:
After Vaccination, your pet should:
* Take it easy the rest of the day
* Eat as usual
* If it is a young individual who is vaccinated for the first time, it should not meet other individuals who are at risk of carrying infection or staying in larger groups of animals for 3 weeks. Only 3 weeks after vaccination is it expected that the animal has achieved adequate protection.
The basic vaccination consists of:
* 2 doses at 3-4 week intervals, of which the first dose is given at a minimum of 8 weeks of age.
* A third dose is given 6-12 months after the second dose.
You should continue to vaccinate your animal regularly throughout its life.
* NOTE *
* Side effects are uncommon but may occur.
Always contact your Veterinary Clinic if you suspect that your animal has had a side effect from the vaccine.
* In rare cases, animals may develop symptoms after a vaccination. The symptoms become milder and go away faster than in unvaccinated animals.
